About splitting PDFs

Splitting a PDF breaks one document into several smaller files — either one file per page, or custom groups of pages you define, such as "1-3,5,7-9".

Pixuno splits files entirely in your browser using pdf-lib. Nothing is uploaded — the original PDF and the resulting files never leave your device.

FAQ

What does "Every page" mode do?

It creates one separate PDF file per page of the original document, then packages them all into a single ZIP download.

How do custom page ranges work?

Enter comma-separated ranges like "1-3,5,7-9". Each group becomes its own PDF file — so "1-3,5" produces two files: pages 1–3 and page 5.

Why do I get a ZIP file?

Splitting produces multiple output files, so they are bundled into a single ZIP archive you can download and extract.

Can I split password-protected PDFs?

Encrypted PDFs are not currently supported. Remove the password protection first, then split.
