Privacy Policy

Overview

Pixuno ("we", "us", "our") provides image, PDF and document conversion tools that run entirely in your web browser. This Privacy Policy explains what information Pixuno collects, what it does not collect, and how the information we do collect is used.

The short version: your files never leave your device. Every conversion, edit and export runs locally using your browser's own APIs. We have no server that receives, stores or processes the contents of the files you work with.

Information we do not collect

We do not collect, transmit, view, or store:

• The images, PDFs, documents or any other files you open or convert in Pixuno
• The text content of anything you type into a tool (for example, text you convert to a PDF)
• File names, file metadata, or thumbnails of your files

Because processing happens entirely client-side, this data is technically incapable of reaching our servers — there is no upload step in the product to remove or disable.

Information we may collect

Like most websites, our hosting and infrastructure providers automatically log limited technical information when you visit Pixuno, such as:

• IP address and approximate location (country/region level)
• Browser type, device type and operating system
• Pages visited, referring URL, and timestamps

Some of this — specifically Google Analytics (GA4), loaded via Google Tag Manager — only runs if you accept analytics in the consent banner or Privacy Settings; it is off by default, and our own code checks your stored consent choice before sending any analytics event, in addition to Google Consent Mode. The events we send identify things like which tool page you used and coarse actions (for example, that a file was converted) — never the contents, names, or metadata of any file you process, and never any text or signature you add in the PDF editor. Your privacy choices

On your first visit, Pixuno shows a consent banner covering analytics and (for the future) advertising — necessary storage for remembering your choice itself is not user-configurable. You can accept all, reject non-essential categories, or choose individually via "Manage preferences". You can revisit or change this choice at any time using "Privacy Settings" in the footer.

Advertising

Pixuno does not currently display any advertising, though a script from Google AdSense is loaded to prepare the account for it. A consent category for advertising is already in place — but no advertising cookies are set today, and none will be enabled without updating this policy first.

For visitors in the EEA, UK or Switzerland, Google requires publishers to use a certified consent management platform (CMP) integrated with the IAB Transparency & Consent Framework before serving personalized ads. We intend to use Google's own certified CMP (via AdSense's "Privacy & messaging" tools) for that purpose rather than build our own — our existing consent banner handles necessary storage and analytics, but is not itself a certified advertising CMP. If and when ads are added, this section will describe the specific ad partners and how their cookies are consent-gated.

Data retention

We do not retain any data related to the files you process, because we never receive it. Standard technical server logs described above are retained only as long as necessary for security and operational purposes, then deleted or aggregated.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under data protection laws such as the GDPR or CCPA, including the right to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you, and the right to withdraw consent at any time — for analytics, this is as simple as using "Privacy Settings" in the footer to turn it off. Because Pixuno does not require an account and does not collect personal data beyond standard technical logs and consent-gated analytics, there is generally very little personal data associated with your use of the site. Children's privacy

Pixuno is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the product does not require registration or personal information to function, this risk is inherently limited.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, operational or regulatory reasons. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page when we do.
